How does one express, "to go" like 3 days to go. Surely it can't be trois jours aller. It sounds stupid ):

“To go” is a sheer idiom. I don’t think there’s a specific translation for that one but you do have different options: 
“Il reste 3 jours”
“Encore 3 jours”
“Plus que 3 jours”
