I'm sorry if you already answered this but what are some popular makeup & skincare French brands that the French love to use? :)
The top 5 is:
- L’Oréal (‘cause believe it or not, this is really French xD)
- Bourjois (makeup)
- Nivea
- Laboratoire Garnier (skincare) (I beg you, don’t put that on your skin…)
Then you have other brands for people willing to spend more than 20$ for a product without necessarily a groundbreaking result (or no result at all haha):
- Clinique
- Chanel
- Dior
- Yves Saint-Laurent
- Clarins
- Nuxe
- Guerlain
- Estée Lauder
Then you have really good products that people don’t buy at first because they’re not super classy, but they all end up buying them at some point since the brands I just listed are shitty products in pretty bottles:
- La Roche-Posay (skincare)
- Rouge Baiser (Make-up)
- Avène (skincare)
I personally use products from La Roche-Posay (products elaborated from water and mineral, collagene-free, parabene-free, silicon-free. In other words, Heaven for your skin) and makeup from L’Oréal or Rouge Baiser (their eyeliner is to die for…) because they are the only two brands that really respect your skin on the long run.
Also, the last trendy thing (and I have no words to tell you how much I dig it) is to make your own cosmetics. More and more people do it. I do my own shower gel, it’s fun! :)
